Make the outfit work for the day
Try the outfit before packing it. If you would immediately change out of it after five minutes outside, choose a more comfortable suitable option. Keep footwear easy to remove and carry what you need without relying on a rental at the gate.
At Wat Pho, leave room for people using the temple for worship and follow the quiet, respectful behaviour requested by the site. Photography rules can differ by building; look for signs instead of assuming one rule covers the whole visit.
Build a Bangkok day around the area
Wat Pho is beside the Grand Palace area, with Sanam Chai MRT as a useful arrival point. You can give this part of the city its own day rather than crossing Bangkok between visits. Check both official visitor pages again near your date for current arrangements.
