- Choose carefully if complete seclusion is the priority: Tonsai is a lively base with nightlife.
- Maya Bay is closed 1 August–30 September 2026. Do not build a September stay around entering it; future access needs a fresh park check.

How long to linger
Two or three nights is an editorial example. Two gives you one full day between arrival and departure; three gives you two. If the famous bay is your only reason to go, first compare a mainland-based outing and its current access conditions.
Getting there & going on
Confirm the departure pier, boat service and hotel arrival instructions together. The sea transfer occupies part of a day. For a fixed flight after the islands, consider a mainland overnight buffer rather than assuming a same-day boat connection.
The island name is not the hotel location

Season is part of the decision
TAT gives November–April as a generally lower-rain window. The southwest monsoon can affect Andaman crossings; neither the season nor a sunny morning guarantees your boat will run. Keep the return flexible and check the operator and park notices close to the day.
